Eels v Wests Tigers: Beckett's back; Apps leads from front

Still in with a chance of snagging a finals berth, the Eels will need to make their move in earnest with a win against a gutsy Wests Tigers outfit this week.

Parramatta went down to the Titans at home last week after allowing their opponents to get out to an imposing 20-0 start and will be focusing on fixing their opening efforts in this week's match.

After another spirited showing, Wests Tigers were undone in extra time by milestone woman Zahara Temara, with her field goal snatching the win for the Raiders.

There were plenty of positives from that game for the Tigers, but they could not convert them into a second elusive win. However, if they can apply themselves for the full 70, it will make it a tough contest for the Eels.

Team News

Eels: Young gun Fleur Ginn moves to the centres to accommodate the return of Rosie Beckett at five-eighth. The playmaker made a successful return from concussion in the Harvey Norman Women's Premiership last week. Cook Islands international Kiana Takairangi is set for her club debut on the wing, with Zali Fay shifting to the reserves. One change in the forwards, Chloe Jackson moves to the starting side and Boss Kapua shifts to the interchange.

Wests Tigers: Coach Brett Kimmorley has stuck with the same squad that fell to the Raiders in golden point last week. Jetaya Faifua and Faythe Manera will combine in the halves, while Caitlin Turnbull will line up at fullback and Kezie Apps will start in the back row.
