The final week of the NRL Fantasy season is here, which means there are grand finals happening everywhere alongside teams trying to make one final push to improve their overall ranking.

Compared to Round 27 games in previous seasons the list of star players missing in action is minor this week, which is great news for us Fantasy types.

NRL Fantasy teams analysis: Round 27

Broncos v Storm, Thursday at Suncorp Stadium

Broncos: Reece Walsh has now hit scores in the 90s in three straight games and is far and away Fantasy's form player. He'd be a strong contender for captaincy this week if not for the formidable opponent he's up against, but some might still opt to take the high-risk, high-reward option he presents. Payne Haas is also travelling really well with a L3 average of 80. Gehamat Shibasaki has been bumped back to the reserves, which is significant given he is still owned by nearly four percent of teams, many of whom won't have quality cover at CTR.

Storm: None of Melbourne's Fantasy relevant players have been rested this week, while highly-owned EDG Eliesa Katoa returns after having a break in Round 26. With Jahrome Hughes back on deck after time out with a shoulder injury, Tyran Wishart – who has been a popular pick up recently to sit in just over six percent of teams – moves back to the bench and can't be relied on as a member of your scoring 17. Given the Storm open the round, Wishart is a good looping option however.

Sea Eagles v Warriors, Friday at 4 Pines Park

Sea Eagles: Daly Cherry-Evans is coming off a round-high score of 92 and is a decent bet to do well again against a struggling Warriors side in what is set to be his last game as a Sea Eagle at 4 Pines Park. A 56 for Tom Trbojevic last week leaves him with a 63.7 L3 average, while Jake Simpkin (HOK, $511k) is travelling nicely as well and averages 52 across his last three.

Warriors: Even though their top four hopes will be over by the time this game kicks off if the Broncos win on Thursday, the Warriors will have already had to have trimmed their team in the 24 hour update, so the prospect of mass restings seems unlikely. CTR/WFB Roger Tuivasa-Sheck has really hit form at the back end of the season and is averaging 59.3 across his last three games, while HLF Tanah Boyd stood out in the loss to the Eels too, scoring 69. Those who jumped on rookie HOK Sam Healey a few weeks ago can consider him in their scoring 17s after he was named at hooker as a replacement for the injured Wayde Egan.

Roosters v Rabbitohs, Friday at Allianz Stadium

Roosters: After being one of the major disappointments in Round 25, James Tedesco returned to form in style last week with a 75 that was helped along by a try and 185 run metres. Those who held onto Mark Nawaqanitawase through his mediocre spell between rounds 19 and 24 have been richly rewarded over the past fortnight, with the $554k WFB/CTR backing up a Round 25 score of 61 with a 79 last week that came as he scored four tries. Sam Walker returns to the line up after a week out with concussion.

Rabbitohs: Cameron Murray comes in for his first game of the season after suffering a rupture Achilles during the pre-season. While he may take a few minutes away from a player or two in the end, the fact that he's coming off the bench means owners of Keaon Koloamatangi and Tallis Duncan need not panic about a significant drop off in Round 27. Duncan's scoring potential will be boosted by a return to the back row, which has been made possible by Jack Wighton coming back into the side.

Dragons v Panthers, Saturday at WIN Stadium

Dragons: Damien Cook is the form hooker in Fantasy right now, with a last up 68 giving him a L3 average of 65. A 45 in Round 26, to add to prior scores of 49 and 57, means rookie EDG Jacob Halangahu is climbing in price and will likely become a player of interest for 2026. The Dragons' most-owned player, Lykhan King-Togia, has ended up being a decent buy, with $275k in price rises achieved across his 16 games.

Panthers: Most of the big guns are back on deck, including Nathan Cleary and Isaah Yeo. The former can be considered as a captaincy option this week too. Dylan Edwards, who is owned by more than 10 percent of teams, now has three scores under 45 in his past four games and is a bit of a concern heading into Round 27.

Titans v Wests Tigers, Saturday at Cbus Super Stadium

Titans: Movement aplenty for Des Hasler's final game in charge of the Gold Coast, with a positional switch to the centres for AJ Brimson being the most Fantasy relevant of them. That means Keano Kini comes back into the run-on side at fullback and becomes a very handy free agent pickup in Draft leagues playing a grand final this week. $350k HLF Carter Gordon will make his NRL debut in the centres, with his performance likely to be closely watched by Fantasy coaches ahead of the 2026 campaign, when he might be player of interest.

Wests Tigers: Terrell May comes off an 87 which was his best score since way back in Round 11. While he is a riskier bet than Payne Haas, May's an option for those looking to establish a point of difference with their captain. It was a decent week to own a Fainu brother, with all three registering scores in the 40s, while Taylan May owners were left disappointed by a 32 that came after consecutive scores of 70 and 66.

Bulldogs v Sharks, Saturday at Accor Stadium

Bulldogs: An ankle injury for Jacob Kiraz, who is easily the Bulldogs' most-owned player, is a huge blow ahead of the final game of the Fantasy season, and will leave plenty of teams with a gaping hole at WFB or CTR. After racking up 61 as a starting back-rower last week Josh Curran drops back to the bench due to the return of Viliame Kikau. Matt Burton and Lachlan Galvin both returned to form in Round 26 with scores of 65 and 57 respectively.

Sharks: Another start in the second row for Billy Burns is great news for those who still have him, while he's a good pickup if you can find him in your Draft league free agents too, with the $383k EDG hitting 59 last week. Nicho Hynes is continuing to deliver for the 13 percent who own him, and his scores could get a boost if Braydon Trindall ends up being ruled out by the ankle injury that forced him from the field last week (for the time being he is named though). After a brilliant run of form through the back end of the season, Blayke Brailey has come back to earth a bit to score 50 and 49 over his past two games, but that's hardly a disaster.

Dolphins v Raiders, Sunday at Kayo Stadium

Dolphins: After being named at fullback once again this week, Trai Fuller (WFB, $658k) shapes as a really good point of difference player to bring in for the final week of the season if you have trades up your sleeve. Currently he is owned by 0.24 percent of teams, with a score like last week's 68 not out of the question again against an understrength Canberra outfit. Gun CTR Herbie Farnworth is a chance to return after being included in the wider squad, but if the Dolphins' finals hopes have been ended by a Roosters win earlier in the round, there's a good chance they opt to keep him on ice. Isaiya Katoa, who is the club's most-owned Fantasy player, had his first score of 50 since back in Round 20 last week.

Raiders: With the minor premiership now safely wrapped up Canberra were always likely to rest players this week, but it's not nearly as bad as it could have been from a Fantasy point of view. Corey Horsburgh (9.45 percent ownership) is still included, while hugely popular HOK Owen Pattie, who has been completely underwhelming as a Fantasy prospect this year, gets a start and can be considered for a place in scoring 17. If you need to fill a gap for your Draft league grand final, there will be free agents aplenty from the Green Machine worth considering.

Eels v Knights, Sunday at CommBank Stadium

Eels: There's no room for popular cheapie Joash Papalii this week, while Isaiah Iongi, who has ended up being one of 2025's better cash cows, comes off a 59 which inches him closer to ending the year with a 40-point average. MID/EDG Jack Williams has enjoyed a really strong finish to the year and currently boasts a L3 average of 61.

Knights: Popular EDG Kai Pearce-Paul suffered his worst score of the season last week despite playing the full 80 minutes, but he's a player you can safely leave in your 17 this week nonetheless. Jayden Brailey moves back to the bench after playing 80 in Round 26 and managing 60 points.
