The Rabbitohs broke a nine-game losing streak on the Gold Coast last weekend and looked a different team with Latrell Mitchell, Jamie Humphreys and Brandon Smith back on deck.

The two-point victory gave the Bunnies some breathing space in the race to avoid last place and a win over the Eels on Saturday would all but ensure they avoid a first spoon since 2006.

Jason Ryles' Eels also collected their seventh win of the season on Sunday courtesy of a Mitch Moses field goal and a try double for the flying Josh Addo-Carr.

The showcase of speed and freaky finishing from Addo-Carr and Alex Johnston will be on the highlights of the night, with 'AJ' needing three tries to equal Ken Irvine's premiership record of 212.

Team News

Rabbitohs: Just the one change with Lachlan Hubner out after suffering a head knock last week and replaced by Shaquai Mitchell in his first NRL appearance of the season. A big name among the reserves with Cody Walker closing in on a return from the hamstring injury that has sidelined him since Round 17.

Eels: Jason Ryles sticks with the same 17 that squeaked home against the Cowboys. Gun fullback Isaiah Iongi has been named in the extended squad as he chases a return from a hand injury suffered in Round 20.
